How to Change Accountants

February 13, 2017

It’s always a hard decision when it’s time to move on in business relationships when you have a personal relationship with someone, but it can also be a positive conversation.  Here is how I suggest that you may want to approach it:

“As you know, I have been struggling with growing my business and have been trying to take advantage of all of the resources I have.  I am a member of an organization that works specifically with businesses like mine and there is a CPA who specializes in my industry.  I have talked with her and I think she can offer me some specialized advice that can really help my business grow and save me money on taxes.  I hope you will understand how important of a decision this is for me, but I think she will be able to help me get to the next level.”

……Insert hugs and warm fuzzy feelings here 🙂

I hope this helps!

Creativity and CPAs don’t generally go together.  Most people think of CPAs as nerdy accountants who can’t talk with people.  Well, it’s time to break that stereotype.  Lively, friendly, and knowledgeable can be a part of your relationship with your CPA as demonstrated by Donna and Chad Bordeaux.  They have over 50 years of combined experience as entrepreneurial CPAs.  They’ve owned businesses and helped business owners exceed their wildest dreams.   They have been able to help businesses earn many times more profit than the average business in the same industry and are passionate about helping industries that help families build great memories.
