Now is the time to reassess and reinvent your business

Over and over again, I hear that businesses are suffering due to the economic challenges in the United State.  I can count on one finger, the number of business owners that I speak with that see this as a great opportunity rather than a strategy.  We can all sit around and blame the economy and wait for things to change, but the reality is that you might want to just "shut it down" and call it a day if that is your approach.  Why waste the remaining cash you have while waiting for someone else to control your destiny.

What would our economy look like if everyone took responsibility and actions to control their own destiny and that of their businesses?  I don't know if our economy would look as dismal as it seems to right now.  I challenge all of you to print this blog and fill in the blanks below.  Send it along to a friend too.

1.  What does my business do better than anyone else?   Tell 5 people today! __________________________________________________________________________________

2.  What can I do to take advantage of my competitors who are reducing their quality or service levels?

3.  Call five customers and ask what you can do to help them grow their business.  And the most important part, take notes and listen.  What do your customers want? (tip:  it probably won't be what you think — reduced prices)

Creativity and CPAs don’t generally go together.  Most people think of CPAs as nerdy accountants who can’t talk with people.  Well, it’s time to break that stereotype.  Lively, friendly and knowledgeable can be a part of your relationship with your CPA as demonstrated by Donna and Chad Bordeaux.  They have over 50 years of combined experience as entrepreneurial CPAs.  They’ve owned businesses and helped business owners exceed their wildest dreams.   They have been able to help businesses earn many times more profit than the average business in the same industry and are passionate about helping industries that help families build great memories.
