Welcome to My Ramblings

February 5, 2008

Hi. My name is Chad Bordeaux and I am a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) and a CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner) living just outside of Charlotte, NC in Lake Wylie, SC. We have a CPA practice that my wife started in 1996 and steadily grew on here own until I joined her about two years ago. Our firm was built on a tradition of service, technical expertise, and innovative thinking. We leverage the top technologies available to make the most efficient and valuable experience for our clients. You can learn a lot more about our practice at our website, www.calculatedmoves.com and our payroll partner at www.gusto.com.

I have a wide range of experience from my former positions with a publically held entity including SEC accounting, financial reporting, tax compliance and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. In addition, I have gained a large variety of entrepreneurial expertise through the ownership of several businesses.

I started this blog as a means to help keep our clients as well as “listeners” informed about strategies for taxes as well as many other aspects of starting and running small businesses. Hopefully, I can help you all the way. I also ask that you keep me posted too with your comments or concerns along the way!

Thanks,
Donna Bordeaux, CPA with Calculated Moves

Creativity and CPAs don’t generally go together.  Most people think of CPAs as nerdy accountants who can’t talk with people.  Well, it’s time to break that stereotype.  Lively, friendly, and knowledgeable can be a part of your relationship with your CPA as demonstrated by Donna and Chad Bordeaux.  They have over 50 years of combined experience as entrepreneurial CPAs.  They’ve owned businesses and helped business owners exceed their wildest dreams.   They have been able to help businesses earn many times more profit than the average business in the same industry and are passionate about helping industries that help families build great memories.
